Easy watercolour Easter cards
Drawing outline:
- Print the outline sheet and cut out the three card shapes (with adult help as needed)
Easter egg paper craft:
- Shade the back of the egg image with a wax crayon
- Place it on the watercolour paper and trace the egg shape, marking the fold lines
- Remove the image and redraw the egg shape darker
- Use a white wax crayon to draw horizontal lines across the egg
- Paint the egg with watercolours
- Start with yellow at the top and transition to blue at the bottom
- Let it dry, then fold along the marked lines and cut out the shape with scissors
Bunny card craft:
- Cut out the bunny image and follow the same shading and tracing steps as the egg card
- Once transferred to your watercolour paper, get out your paints!
- Start with yellow at the top and transition to red at the bottom
- Leave to dry
- Use a white crayon to draw horizontal and vertical lines across the bunny
- Paint the bunny with an ombre, transitioning from orange to red to blue
- Let it dry, then fold along the marked lines and cut out the shape with scissors
Hot cross bun craft:
- Cut out the hot cross bun image and follow the shading and tracing steps as before
- Use the white crayon to colour in the icing cross on the bun
- Mix a brown watercolour using yellow, red, blue, and green
- Paint the bun
- Let it dry, then use a fine brush to outline and detail the bun
- Once dry, fold along the marked lines and cut out the shape with scissors
