How to paint a skateboard

Animal outline sketch

-    Make sure the deck surface is clean and free of dust or debris

-    Sketch the basic shapes of each animal on the skateboard deck with a pencil

-    Group the animals in small clusters for an appealing layout

Using paint pens

-    Choose the colours you want to use for each animal from the acrylic paint marker set

-    Start by blocking in the base colours for each animal

-    Allow the paint to dry completely before moving on to the next step

Outlines

-    Once the base colours are dry, use black paint pens to outline the animals and add details

-    Take your time and enjoy the process, treating it as a mindful experience!

Using varnish

-    Protect your design once the paint’s dry by applying a layer of acrylic varnish over the entire deck

-    Use an abstract expression brush with short, soft bristles to evenly distribute the varnish

-    Apply more varnish rather than less to ensure good coverage
