Create DIY Christmas pouring paint baubles

What you will need:

Clear baubles
Pouring paint

It’s officially that time to dig into the never-ending box of baubles, untangle the fairy lights and decorate the Christmas tree with the whole family. If you would like to add a handmade touch to your tree, these DIY pouring paint baubles are super easy to make and look just beautiful. Follow along if you want to make your own!

These look great with 3-4 colour combinations, but you can use your own or grab a pack of our premixed pouring paint sets.

Let’s get started! Cut four holes into a cardboard box and place four pens into each hole. Twist the tops off the baubles and place them on each of the four pens to hold them in place.

Time to get messy! Begin pouring the pour paint onto the first bauble. For this bauble, we used classic Christmas colours of red, green, white and gold. But, you can choose any combination to match your theme! Keep adding more colour as desired and until the pouring paint covers the whole bauble.

You can give the colours a little blow to help them drip quicker or to help merge the colours together.

This is quite mesmerizing to watch! You can begin adding the next colours to your second bauble. For the second, we used a mix of cool marine tones for an icy look.

Continue pouring your paints over to fill the bauble.

When you’re ready, you can move on to the third bauble. We chose to use earthy tones for a modern rustic appeal!

Keep pouring your paint to cover the bauble.

We’re onto the last bauble! Repeat the same process as above with your next round of colours. We used a mix of contrasting shades with black to make the colours pop!
